Ellis, portrayed by Sam Rockwell. Set in 1971 Durham, north Carolina, their rivalry over school desegregation unfolds in a tense and gripping manner, revealing how their personal confrontation transformed both Durham and their lives. The Blu-ray presentation offers a crisp 2.39:1 aspect ratio and immersive audio in multiple formats, making for a compelling viewing experience.
The performances are extraordinary, with Taraji P. Henson and Sam Rockwell delivering standout roles that critics have called "soar" (Pete Hammond, Deadline). the film's runtime of two hours and thirteen minutes is well-paced, filled with emotional depth and historical significance. I appreciated the inclusion of subtitles in Spanish and the two-disc set, which includes digital copy options, making it convenient for offline viewing.
